I’ve got an idea for how you can collect your travel memories without it being as time-consuming as making a scrapbook.
There’s something really special about physical photos, which is why I’ve started making yearly albums and travel albums. In January, I printed 500 photos (fewer would have been enough 😅) from my experiences in 2023 and my trip to Nepal. It took me six months, but I finally got them organized into albums—one with memories from 2023 and one just for Nepal.
I’m trying to turn the yearly albums into a tradition. Every year at the start of January, I go through the photo roll on my phone, print photos in 10×15 cm format, place them in photo sleeves, and put them into binders. I do the same for trips. Right now, I’m picking photos from my Camino hike and my trip to Indonesia.
My parents kept all the photos from my childhood organized like this, and I think it’s such a shame that so many photos just stay on phones nowadays. With these physical photo albums, I feel much more inspired to look back on everyday memories and travel adventures.
Looking through the 2023 photos made me relive so many amazing experiences in Nepal. I’ve gathered all my best recommendations for Kathmandu, written more about daily life at Mandala Yoga Retreat, and shared my trek in the Himalayas if you’re curious to read along.
